ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades General Manager Craig Brush along with Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Monday that forward Jeff Malott has agreed to terms for the 2020-21 season.
Malott, 24, enters his first professional season. The native of Burlington, Ontario played four years with Cornell University Big Red. In 2019-20, Malott was named captain for his senior season with the Big Red totaling 13 points (6g-7a) in 29 games.
The 6-foot-4, 202-pound forward previously signed with the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose in April but did not have the opportunity to play due to the shortened season. Malott was the first player to sign in his class from Cornell University.
The Everblades will return to Hertz Arena this Saturday, January 2 at 7:00 p.m. to ring in 2021 against the Orlando Solar Bears.
