Wilson, 24, joins the Everblades after posting 15 points (6g, 9a) in 54 games played last season with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League. The 6-2, 205-pound winger played two seasons with the Greenville Road Warriors (ECHL) from the 2011-2013 totaling 19 points (5g, 14a) and 177 penalty minutes in 79 games.
“Jason is a fast and well conditioned player,” said Everblades Head Coach Greg Poss. “He is coming off the final year of his entry-level contract, and he has high end potential.”
The Richmond Hill, Ontario native recorded a goal, with 30 penalty minutes, and a +1 rating in 17 games with the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League during the 2012-13 season. Wilson was a fifth round selection of the New York Rangers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Wilson becomes the thirteenth player to agree to terms with the Everblades for the 2014-15 season. He joins forwards Mitch Wahl, Chris Kushneriuk, Kyle Stroh, Alex Lavoie, Mike Cichy, Mike Silengo, Evan Bloodoff, and defensemen Mike Little, Jordan Henry, Tyson Gimblett, Cameron Burt, and Kevin Hart.
