Everblades Reunite with Alex Kile

ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President Craig Brush, along with Head Coach and General Manager Brad Ralph, announced that the team has signed forward Alex Kile to a standard player contract for the 2024-25 season.

Kile, 29, returns to Florida after previously playing for the Blades during the 2020-21 season. In 69 regular-season games in an Everblades sweater that year, he tallied 25 goals and 26 assists for 51 points. 

The Troy, Michigan local enjoyed his best pro season last year with the Maine Mariners, registering 83 points (37 goals, 46 assists) with the Maine Mariners in 67 games. His stellar performance earned him a spot on the All-ECHL First Team this year, his first time receiving such an honor. Over seven seasons has 130 goals and 158 assists for 288 points in 308 ECHL regular-season games with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Mariners and Everblades.

Kile has also played 103 American Hockey League games in his career, including six contests last season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The six-foot tall, 194-pound winger has 14 goals and eight assists in the AHL with the Rochester Americans, Utica Comets, Hartford Wolf Pack, Laval Rocket and Phantoms.

Before turning pro, Kile played four seasons of NCAA hockey at Michigan, captaining the team in his senior year. In his junior year, the Wolverines won the Big Ten Championship before losing in the regional finals to fellow Troy native Cam Johnson and North Dakota. In junior hockey, Kile won a USHL Clark Cup title in 2012 with the Green Bay Gamblers.
