Everblades Sign Veteran Colton Hargrove

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has signed forward Colton Hargrove to a standard player contract.

Hargrove, 32, will be playing his ninth professional season in 2024-25, coming to the Everblades after seeing action in 87 total games with the ECHL’s Allen Americans over the past two seasons. Hargrove’s top season came in 2022-23, when he collected 85 points in 64 regular-season contests, tallying 39 goals and 46 assists for the Americans, while tacking on six goals and three helpers in 11 Kelly Cup Playoff games. Hargrove also played two seasons of professional hockey in Austria from 2019 through 2021. 

Previously, Hargrove played in the AHL for four seasons, spending 2015-16 through 2017-18 with the Providence Bruins and playing the 2018-19 campaign with the Texas Stars. In his AHL career, Hargrove registered 113 points on 51 goals and 62 assists in 259 regular-season games, while adding two goals and a helper in 20 Calder Cup Playoff games.

The Dallas, Texas native was selected by the Boston Bruins in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and played three seasons of collegiate hockey at Western Michigan University, logging 62 points on 34 goals and 28 assists in 105 games. Prior to being drafted, Hargrove played two seasons of junior hockey with the United States Hockey League’s Fargo Force.
