Blades Blueprint: Logan Lambdin
By: Camille Frick
While physical preparation is crucial to any functional and successful team, returning Florida Everblades forward, Logan Lambdin is instead prioritizing mental preparation to seamlessly integrate new and returning players come October.
“I've been doing everything I can to stay ready,” said Lambdin despite having an injured left hand.
While his injury might temporarily stop him from engaging in the physical preparation that his returning teammates are prioritizing, it poses the opportunity for him to extend guidance and leadership elsewhere:
Leveraging his experience to help foster a cohesive 2024-2025 team dynamic.
Though Lambdin is now a familiar face to Everblades culture, he at one point was new to the swamp and leaned on experienced players to help him play his best game on the ice.
“The first year like I said, they made me feel like family, like I was there all year,” said Lambdin.
After playing a full season with the Everblades, Lambdin can recognize the importance of creating a family-like dynamic and now he aims to continue to do the same for the new incoming talent.
“This year the only difference is I was there all year and trying to make all the new guys feel like it was a family that we were a part of the whole year.”
Executing a blueprint to success is no easy task, especially after doing it for three consecutive seasons and making history amid it; however, Lambdin shares a similar goal to the coaching staff in the sense that “all we want to do is win. But we’re also a family behind that as well.”
While winning is the end goal, the Blades’ blueprint consists of more than just claiming titles and climbing the ranks but entails building a foundation of like-minded individuals who work on and off the ice to create a resilient team.
Until he gears up in October, Lambdin will be continuing to play his part in laying the groundwork for another successful Everblades season.
