ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Kade Landry to a standard player contract.
Landry, 25, enters his first season with the Florida Everblades after beginning his pro career with IK Oskarshamn in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league recording two assists in nine regular-season appearances. Before turning pro, Landry belonged to the University of New Brunswick in USports, Canada’s university-level sports league, for four consecutive seasons where he tallied 11 goals and 57 assists in 84 appearances.
A native of Wallace, Ontario, Landry developed his foundational skills playing junior hockey with the Listowel Cyclones in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL). His time with the Cyclones paved the way for a successful transition to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he spent six seasons, splitting his time between the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Barrie Colts. Over six seasons Landry amassed 15 goals and 118 assists in 247 contests.
