FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Florida Everblades and Fort Wayne Komets will clash tonight in a pivotal finale of their series, tied 1-1.
Last night, the Everblades struck early in the first period creating a one goal lead which lasted until Anthony Petruzzelli tied the game five minutes into the third period.
The Komets and the Everblades when into overtime, when former Everblade Alex Aleardi netted the goal at 6:38 into the seven minute overtime period.
Tonight’s contest at 7:35 p.m. marks an opportunity for the Blades to win the rubber match against the Komets before continuing the road trip next week where they will face the Jacksonville Icemen.
