ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades have traded forward Tyler Kobryn to the Worcester Railers in exchange for future considerations. Additionally, the Springfield Thunderbirds, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Florida Everblades, have recalled defenseman Marc-Andre Gaudet.
Kobryn, 27, joined the Everblades on loan from the SPHL’s Peoria Rivermen on November 10 for his second stint with Florida after playing three games for the team in the 2023-34 season. This year, the Hillsborough, New Jersey native got two goals and two assists in 18 games with the Everblades.
Worcester currently sits in fourth place in the North Division with a 20-20-2-4 record. The Railers hold a four-point lead on the Reading Royals for the North’s final playoff spot – Worcester has not qualified for the playoffs since 2018, the longest active drought in the ECHL.
Gaudet, 21, is in the first year of his NHL Entry Level Contract with the St. Louis Blues. He totaled four goals and six assists in 12 games with Florida.
