ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades close out the 2024-25 regular season Saturday night at Hertz Arena with a 7:00 p.m. contest against the Atlanta Gladiators that will serve as the Blades’ final tuneup before shifting attention to the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs presented by Lexus and a fourth-straight Kelly Cup crown.

Saturday’s regular-season finale will be a busy night at The Swamp as fans can support breast cancer awareness with our Pink in the Rink game and Fan Appreciation Night presented by Radiology Regional and Crowther Roofing. The first 1,200 fans will receive a pink replica jersey courtesy of Crowther Roofing.

Friday night, the Everblades knocked off the Gladiators 5-2 behind goals from five different players. Alex Kile set the stage with a goal just 69 seconds into the contest, with Colton Hargrove tacking on another first-period tally. Kyle Betts added a power-play marker in the second period, while Jesse Lansdell and Andrew Fyten closed out the scoring with third-period goals. 

With back-to-back 5-2 victories over the Gladiators on Wednesday and Friday, the Everblades improved to 6-0 this season against their rivals from the Peachtree State. A win in Saturday’s contest would seal a second consecutive 7-0 season series sweep of the Gladiators for the Blades. Including a win in the final game of the 2022-23 season, the Everblades have won the last 14 meetings of the two clubs. Atlanta’s last victory over the Blades was a 3-1 victory at Hertz Arena on April 14, 2023.

Due to South Carolina’s 6-3 victory on Norfolk on Friday, the Everblades locked up the second seed in the South Division heading into the postseason. Atlanta has failed to qualify for the playoffs and is currently tied with Savannah for fifth place in the South with those teams scheduled to play on Sunday.

The 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs presented by Lexus will get underway with Games One and Two of the South Division Semifinals versus the Jacksonville Icemen on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively. The best-of-seven series will shift to Jacksonville for Games Three, Four and Five (if necessary) on April 23, 24 and 27.
